Things and Stuff

So, I didn't get one of the finalist spots for the blogging scholarship. Oh well! There's always next year, and for now, there are some great blogs nominated. You can see the full list and links to each finalist here. Check them out; maybe you'll find a new, awesome one! Regardless, I'm so excited to see so many young people being active and engaged with their surroundings. I'm sick of the apathy my generation seems to have, and it's nice to see a lot of my peers rejecting that.

Also...our favorite frequent flier that I wrote about here is sort of getting what's coming to her. Apparently they're finishing up the paperwork, and she'll have a warrant for abuse of 911. Let's see if she'll end up moving again.

I've got a post coming on this strip soon:

Great 12 lead. Hope not to see one like it here in Antarctica! Great pick up.

Nice STEMI. Just for future reference I would blur out some of that info that is printed on the strip like date, patient's age, and ID number. It is flirting with HIPPA to post such identifiable information on the web, especially the ID number with correlates directly to the patient you plan on writing about. The date and age could be a problem as well depending on how large your service is. Best bet is to just blur them out, they're not necessary to write a good entry anyways.

They can draw warrants for abuse of 911??? Seriously? I must get more details on that from you, because we have our own frequent flyer in our service who has started crew shopping. Once she figures out which crew shows up on certain nights, she calls consistantly on that night. It's really getting old.
